The album is about nostalgia with old friends whom one rarely meets and the youth that one longs for.
I'm getting to the age where I miss those things more and more. Meeting up with friends, goofing around without any worries, and everyone having time for each other.
We would come up with elaborate projects, see them through, and always have fun.
These thoughts never occurred to me before Corona came along and suddenly all my old friends had time to spend countless nights on the internet.
We wanted to maintain that connection, but unfortunately, nobody stuck to it.
I really needed this album because otherwise, I would have become more and more depressed.
Each track tells a story and holds special meaning for me, relating to my old friends and acquaintances, and even death is musically represented here.


TOGETHER UNDER THE SKY

The song represents the entire album, and every song and experience flows into it.
All the sounds you hear in this song were created throughout the entire album phase.
Thus, this song is the perfect introduction to "Together Under The Sky."


ENSOMHET VISER...

Loops that an old schoolmate of mine used to love back then.
He had an old cassette deck and wanted to duplicate my music, and these two track loops
were on the test tape. I had kept them and used a similar method to William Basinski's
on The Disintegration Loops to gradually dissolve them.
This also symbolizes the decline of our friendship, as we started having more and
more conflicts at that time, eventually leading to the end of our friendship.


TOO OLD, TOO FRAGILE

Slowly, I am getting older, and it's becoming increasingly evident to me.
Of course, older individuals would say that I have only achieved one-third of my life,
but these thoughts are already occurring to me.
I am just now realizing what I had back then and what I miss.
Reflecting on the good old times.


FOR COIL ♥️

During my studies, I met a colleague who was a huge fan of Coil and introduced me to the band.
Unfortunately, the friendship with this colleague fizzled out,
but I haven't come across anyone else with whom I could discuss music as well as I did with him.
Therefore, this track is a tribute from me to Coil and my study colleague.
He will most likely not hear this track because he has no knowledge of my SkyTwoHigh project
(and I no longer have his phone number), but hey, it's the intention that matters.


NOSTALGISKE

The song is based on a patch from a colleague who now lives in another country.
Back then, he was tinkering with my Hydrasynth and saved a patch.
We hardly see or hear from each other anymore, which I deeply regret.
As soon as I finished this track, I sent it directly to him.


WHEN WE LEAVE

I haven't often delved into the topic of death, but I had to confront it more frequently last year.
This track is a way for me to process my thoughts and helps me prepare for the future.


WANDERING THROUGH THE CLOUDS

In March, I truly hit a low point in my life emotionally.
During that time, hiking helped me the most, and I went on many hikes with my girlfriend.
I still vividly remember lying on the cold ground, looking up at the sky,
and reflecting on my youth and the wonderful times of the past.


THE AFTER LIFE

This track is dedicated to my professor, whom I greatly admired, but sadly took his own life.
I am still shocked by it to this day, as it came very suddenly, and I truly liked him.
He was a huge ambient music fan also and had CDs by Steve Roach and various different artists.
I dedicate this song to him.
